The Galrão Group, owner of marble quarries in the Alentejo region, invited us to create a solid stone table for their stand at MarmoMac 2023, the leading international trade fair dedicated to natural stone, held annually in Verona, Italy.
We opted for Picasso marble, known for its warm tones and delicate veining, which was worked to largely preserve its natural expression.
The project emphasizes the contrast between the raw surface of the block and the precise cuts made by the machines, highlighting the duality between geological origin and human intervention. Sculpted from a single block, the piece affirms the monumentality and beauty of Portuguese natural stone.
