Inspired by megalithic monuments and the silhouette of Alentejo cork oak trees, designer João Marcos' collection proposes an encounter between the sacred and the sensitive, between deep time and living matter. With sculptural forms that evoke ancient architecture and the organic character of the territory, each piece is a contemporary manifesto of the material and cultural identity of the Alentejo.
The marble from the Estremoz region, quarried by Mármores Galrão, brings density and luminosity to the pieces. The black cork, supplied by Granorte and Sedacor, is transformed by an intense thermal process and acquires a dense, dark texture, that evokes both the cork harvesting process and the forms of the Alentejo landscape.
This collection, produced and curated by Olivah, includes a dining table, a console, stool, lamp and centerpiece, pieces that reflect time, territory and ancestry.
A creation promoted by ASSIMAGRA, with funding from the PRR under the Sustainable Stone by Portugal Green Agenda.
