Portugal, 2026

In central Portugal, forest, stone and glass have evolved side by side for centuries. The Leiria National Forest once fuelled the furnaces of Marinha Grande, becoming an inseparable part of the history of Portugal’s glassmaking industry. Today, this territory continues to transform, shaped by the regeneration of the forest and the constant renewal of its ecosystem.

It is from this ever-changing landscape that Catarina Nogueira Pacheco’s collection emerges. More than a celebration of the history of glass, the designer creates an ode to the ecosystem of the Leiria Pine Forest, drawing inspiration from the species that inhabit it to reflect on regeneration, biodiversity and the future.

Throughout the research and development process led by Olivah, the dialogue between Portuguese Cadoiço stone and blown glass was developed in close collaboration with the designer. The stone, supplied by Pragosa Indústria Extrativa and transformed by Gárgula Gótica, meets the blown glass produced by BF Gallery, bringing together territory, industry, craftsmanship and design in a collection that pays tribute to the ecological and cultural richness of the Leiria Pine Forest.

Each piece celebrates the landscape’s capacity to transform and regenerate, revealing how territory, nature and design can evolve together.
