We create with stone
We value regional stone and local expertise, combining tradition and technology to transform this natural material into pieces that enhance spaces and tell stories.

StonesIt all starts with the stone. Veins, shades, fossils and movements, each is a unique feature of immense natural beauty. Nothing is a flaw; everything is a feature.

We ended 2025 by being named one of the Top 5% of Portugal’s Best SMEs, an honor awarded by SCORING for the third consecutive year.
This independent certification is awarded to fewer than 5% of Portuguese small and medium-sized enterprises, based on rigorous economic and financial performance criteria audited by external entities.

Olivah was invited to appear on the show *Intercidades* on the Conta Lá channel, a program dedicated to projects, brands, and initiatives that celebrate Portuguese identity and the Portuguese region.
In a conversation with Rita Ferro, Gisella shared Olivah’s vision, the way we relate to Portuguese stone, and the process that transforms an ancient material into pieces of contemporary design.
It was an opportunity to showcase our work, highlight the importance of the materials’ origin, and demonstrate how we strive to bring out the best in each block through design.

There are encounters that seem inevitable.
Stone and cork have shared the same landscape for centuries. These two materials are deeply rooted in Portuguese culture, shaped by craftsmanship and the passage of time.
Designed to complement our individual pieces or stand on their own, Olivah coasters highlight the small details of the table setting and the beauty of understated objects.
Photographed at Lote 4 by Rory, among a selection of pieces that share the same vision regarding natural materials, craftsmanship, and contemporary design.

A well-set table is about more than just the choice of objects. It’s the way materials, textures, and proportions come together to create a welcoming atmosphere.
Developed in collaboration with Lote 4 by Rory, this collection brings together pieces that share a common aesthetic, in which simplicity, authenticity, and attention to detail play a central role.

Presented at the Forma Design Fair 2026 at Matadero Madrid, the Arc collection, designed by Damaso Mayer, takes the arch as its structural principle, exploring the relationship between geometry, balance, and material.
Made from Portuguese Lioz limestone, the collection uses pre-quarried blocks, extending the stone’s life cycle and using the material as the starting point for the design.
Olivah was involved in the project from the curation and selection of the blocks through to production management, helping to transform an idea into a collection that highlights both the design and the origin of the material.

Every stone has a story. Our work begins with learning to listen to it.
The stone invites us to slow down.
Observing the grain, the texture, the imperfections, and everything that makes it one-of-a-kind.
It is in this convergence of material, time, and design that each Olivah project is born.
More than just transforming the stone, we seek to understand what it already is.

During the 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen, Olivah participated in the “Momentum” exhibition, organized by Made in Portugal Naturally and curated by Miguel Soeiro, at the Portuguese Embassy.
It was in this context that we presented our collection of placemats and coasters, in which stone and cork explore different textures, temperatures, and ways of use.
The event also included a presentation on the work carried out by Olivah and how we promote Portuguese stone through contemporary design.
An opportunity to share our journey at one of the most prominent international design events.

We accepted the challenge posed by Latr and collaborated on the production of the stone versions of the Arco Headphone Stand, designed by David Amaral.
Crafted from Portuguese limestone and Guatemalan marble, this piece highlights the precision of its geometry and the expressive richness of the stone, making it resemble a sculptural object.
Combining technology and handcrafted finishing, every detail has been carefully designed to preserve the clarity of the form and the authenticity of the material.

Carved from Portuguese Estremoz marble, this table highlights the uniqueness of each block.
The grain, hues, and highlights emerge naturally, making each piece one-of-a-kind.
It is this authenticity that continues to inspire the way we design and produce each collection.

From concept to installation, this Moca limestone fireplace was designed to be the centerpiece of the home—a place meant to embrace everyday moments.
Upon completing the space, the owner, artist Ksenia Finogeneva, incorporated one of her own paintings above the fireplace, blending architecture, art, and daily life in a natural gesture, as an extension of her artistic language.
More than just an architectural element, this project reveals how spaces gain their identity through the people who inhabit them.
