Olivah had the honor of representing Portugal at Paris Design Week, at the invitation of AICEP - Agência para o Investimento e Comércio Externo de Portugal. We were part of the"MADE INPORTUGAL naturally" exhibition, which brought together around 60 companies from the Casa Portuguesa sector, highlighting talent, design and innovation, combined with tradition and Portuguese know-how.
The show took place at Galerie Joseph, in the historic Marais district, whose space was transformed into a contemporary and cosmopolitan domestic environment curated by interior designer Margarida Moura Simão. The best of national design and handicrafts was highlighted and distributed over three floors which included social, intimate and leisure areas.
Since we were founded in Sintra in 2021, our mission has been to pay homage to the tradition of Portuguese natural stone. At Paris Design Week, we presented pieces that reflect this philosophy, including the Olivah Gym dumbbells, carved from marble waste from local quarries. These pieces symbolize the essence of Studio Olivah: giving new life to fragments of stone, creating unique decorative, artistic and functional objects that combine aesthetics, purpose and sustainability.
Taking part in Paris Design Week was an enriching experience that reinforced our commitment to promoting Portuguese natural stone internationally. We would like to thank AICEP for the opportunity and everyone who visited the "MADE IN PORTUGAL naturally" exhibition.
