Our first stop on the international trade fair circuit couldn't have been better. INDEX Saudi Arabia, held annually in Riyadh, is a trade fair specializing in decoration, interior design and hospitality. As the largest and oldest fair in the sector in the Middle East and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, it brings together an impressive diversity of international and local brands, and reflects the constant evolution of the interior design scene in the country.
We were far from imagining the impact we would have with the pieces from the Broot project in Saudi Arabia. The curiosity and interest shown by the Saudi public in the story of Portugal that we tell with each piece reinforced our belief in the importance of sharing the wealth of Portuguese stones and natural materials.
Taking part in INDEX allowed us to explore the Middle East’s vibrant art and design scene, broadening our perspective and deepening our understanding of the projects that come our way in the region. This experience opened up creative horizons and paved the way for future collaborations with local brands, architects, designers, and potential clients.
Bringing the pieces from the Broot project and Portuguese natural stone to INDEX marked the history of Broot and Olivah, strengthened our vision as creators and inspired us to continue creating pieces that combine techniques and materials with creativity.
